“Venom Collector” Limited Edition print

“Venom Collector” is a painting from my 2021 solo exhibition, "Obsidian Butterfly" at KP Projects in Los Angeles. The idea is based upon dream I had about The Island of the Ka, an island of giant talking magical snakes made of gold and lapis lazuli. This island appears in an ancient Egyptian tale, "The Story of the Shipwrecked Sailor", which I read, then dreamed about. In the dream there were luminous women floating about on butterflies collecting hallucinogenic venom from these god-like snakes.
