"Despina, Swamp Mermaid" started as a character study for a larger painting and was exhibited at Roq La Rue Gallery in February, 2020. Despina is named after one of the moons of Neptune, and she gets her name from the Greek sea nymph, Despoina, daughter of Poseidon and Demeter.
7” x 9”, signed and numbered, limited to 75. Hand-embellished archival giclee print with hand-deckled edges, embellished with glitter and gold watercolor.
